A Little About Me:
Allow me a brief moment to introduce myself. I will share much more about my personal journey and experiences throughout the newsletter but let me tell you a little about my background so you know where this is coming from.
My name is Robert. I grew up in a small town right on the border of Colorado and Utah. I was in the Boy Scouts and even before that, a Cub Scout. And for those of you who know... I was also a Tiger Cub. I really enjoyed the camaraderie, community, education, and skills I was able to gain from my time in those organizations. But I know that not everyone was as fortunate as I was to grow up having these skills and principles taught at such a young age.
As an adult, I moved to Denver for 10 years where I was the emergency preparedness coordinator for my local church. I have currently resided in Missouri for the last 7 years and I continue to be an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for a small group here.
I have helped others in my area learn more about the various aspects and topics of emergency preparedness. The people who come to me have questions ranging from bunkers to food storage to winterizing their home to what to do in the event of an EMP or financial collapse and everything in between. I'm always happy to share my knowledge and resources with those who are interested.
I don't claim to be a professional or any kind of expert. I'm just a regular guy. I work in I.T. and have been involved with several government agencies over the last 20 years. I might have a unique perspective since I have seen how local and state agencies including law enforcement, plan for emergencies and what actually happens when those planned or unplanned emergencies occur. I’ve seen it go right and I’ve seen it all fall apart when it mattered most. I face all of life's struggles just like you, but when it comes to the safety, security, and preparedness of my family, I can tell you I don't lose much sleep at night.
